IN HOME BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT

Erica has a passion for supporting families along their unique breastfeeding journey; from breastfeeding newborns to older children, twins and tandem nursing. When home with your baby, it's nice to have someone come to you and ensure things are going well. There are a variety of ways of giving your baby breast milk and every mother-baby dyad is very special and unique.

Erica provides confidence and reassurance during in-home visits prenatally, and once you are home with the baby both in person and via email and phone support.

HOW CAN ERICA HELP ME?

Erica will sit down with your family and explore where you are in your breastfeeding journey, what challenges you are facing, what you would like to improve on, and what your goals are.

What sort of things are addressed in a session?


  • Assessment of the latch, nursing positions, duration of feeds
  • How to know if baby is feeding well and getting enough milk
  • Pumping, storing milk, cleaning supplies and preparing expressed milk
  • Referrals to other professionals (ENT,chiropractor, ostepath, ‎etc.)

  • The Confident breastfeeding visit (including partner) - This is an in-home visit for pregnant or newly breastfeeding families. Learning how to get past the “do’s and don’ts” to understand how to make breastfeeding work for you and your family in your home. This visit typically lasts a few hours (to ensure baby breastfeeds at least one time during her visit). Cost: $100

    The Breastfeeding package - Once you are home with baby, Erica will come to you for three visits scheduled over a few weeks time. You will also receive resources for your specific questions and concerns. Knowing sometimes you just need to speak with someone and not necessarily have them come to you, there is also email/phone support included in this package for up to one month. Cost: $500

    The Return to work package - Many women make the choice to continue breastfeeding when returning to work. Supporting them through a smooth transition as a mother and as a professional, helps this emotional fueled journey. Together you will create a customized plan to maintain your sanity, remove any guilt and maintain a healthy breastfeeding relationship once the work-life balance begins. This package includes an in-home visit and follow-ups via email or phone for 4 weeks after you return to paid employment. Cost: $150

    Online and phone support - This is a unique way of supporting a breastfeeding family and Erica is able to provide exceptional support to families with newborns and older breastfeeding children over the phone through various challenges and situations, all without ever meeting them in-person. Explore options and strategies that create confidence and empowerment so you enjoy your unique and very special breastfeeding journey! Sending email recaps of conversations along with trusted resources. Cost: $120 for two weeks

    Erica supports families throughout their breastfeeding time not only right after birth.
